As I write this, I have just had an empty sippy and a half eaten strawberry muffin deposited on my laptop. Life has become an exercise in multitasking, and I am learning to navigate all of it as I go along. My dreams are to become an illustrator for children's books and to get back to teaching students when an opening becomes available again. I have been studying art since I was 14, and it is an integral part of who I am.
The format for my sketches are that I give myself an assignment with set parameters and a short period of time to complete them in. All of the work is done without the use of a pencil, and so far involving heavy use of fine point sharpies and watercolor. I hope to dip into other mediums soon but this is as good a starting point as any.
